Centerpiece mirrors are a gorgeous way to accent your event décor. The key is choosing the right shape and size for your display. Whether you’re building the perfect wedding centerpiece or trying to draw attention to your accent décor, these simple event accessories are very eye-catching. Mirrors will add depth through reflection so your finished arrangement looks bigger, fuller and more detailed. How can you incorporate centerpiece mirrors in your event décor?
Match the Mirror Shape with Your Vase or Base
Centerpiece mirrors come in many shapes, although the most popular are round and square. When selecting the ideal shape, make sure you find something that is similar to the vase or base of your décor. This is especially important when building a centerpiece that will be the main focal point on your tables. If you use a block vase, then use a square mirror. If you are using something round like a cylinder or bud vase, then a round mirror is an ideal choice. If you are building something with smaller components rather than one big focal point, then you can experiment with other shapes. Try an octagon, heart, oval or placemat mirror. You can try placing objects off center to complement the wider and narrower parts and profile of the mirror.
Plain Mirrors vs. Detailed Mirrors
Some centerpiece mirrors include extra details like a scalloped edge or pattern. Others include a plain silver surface. So which is going to work best with your centerpiece or accent décor? A lot depends on the style of your décor. Plain mirrors as well as those with a beveled edge are ideal for arrangements that will show less of the mirror. On the other hand, if you are using a narrow vase or something that will show more surface area, then a detailed accessory like our round patterned mirror is a great choice.
Sizing Your Centerpiece Mirrors
You have many sizes to choose from when searching for centerpiece mirrors. Make sure the mirror is large enough to show around the edges of your vase or base. After all, you want some reflection to be visible. A large mirror works with a narrower vase that will include a full, cascading bouquet. If you are going for something simpler with a narrow vase and just a couple of roses or a slim branch, then a wider mirror might be too much. Balance visual appeal by using a mirror that grabs attention without distracting from your décor.
Flameless candles have become a popular alternative to traditional wax candles. Wax luminaries are lovely, but they can be a fire hazard. Not to mention the smoke they produce and wax melt off which can pool around the candle and ruin tablecloths and décor. The biggest problem many people had with going flameless was the fact that some of the older versions didn’t quite capture the visual beauty of an actual glowing wick. Our motion flame timer candles have arrived and offer a functional wax alternative that looks amazing and moves!
Motion Flame Candles vs. Other Flameless Candles
Other flameless LED candle models use a flickering light effect to recreate the movement of real fire. While this can work in some settings, it is still very limited. The light typically dances within the bulb or faux flame attached to the top of the candle. It is still contained so it doesn’t actually appear to flicker like a real wax candle does. The shadows cast might look convincing, but a head on view will reveal that it’s just an imitation.
Our motion flame candles offer a solution to this problem by giving actual motion to the faux flame. A tapered light stands up over the center of the candle, surrounded by wavy rims that appear partially melted. When turned on, the “flame” visibly moves. It is not stuck within a bulb or cap but actually, physically moves so the light changes shape – just like a natural flame would!
What Can You Do with Motion Flame Candles?
Anything you can do with a wax candle you can do with our motion flame candles! In fact they are even more versatile thanks to their flameless design and convenient features. Add them to any candleholder or set them directly on furniture. Since there’s no melted wax or flame, you never have to worry about damage to wood, fabrics or other nearby surfaces. You can also place them close to objects you wouldn’t normally place a lit wax candle next to.
Our motion flame candles come in a variety of sizes with an amber LED and built-in timer that turns them on for five hours then off for 19. 3 AAA batteries provide power so you don’t have to have an electrical outlet free. They produce no smoke, only beautiful, natural looking candlelight. Try them at your next event and discover the many benefits of realistic flameless candles!

Move over wax candles because LED lanterns are ready to take event décor to the next level! Accent and mood lighting is an essential part of many events. It’s the best way to draw attention to décor and add fine detail to your beautiful venue. While wax candles and oil lamps are appealing, they can also be a huge hassle. Instead of contending with lanterns that have a wick that must be lit and re-lit throughout the event, you can instead try safer LED lanterns!
LEDs vs. Wicks
Wax candles are a staple at weddings, religious ceremonies, birthday parties and holiday events, but they aren’t always the easiest option. Wicks must be lit (and checked in case a rogue breeze blows a few out). Burning flame produces smoke that can be uncomfortable to guests. Fire is also a hazard that must be carefully used, especially when hosting a large gathering that will require many candles or oil lamps.
LED lights, on the other hand, offer the same lovely glow without all the drawbacks. There’s no open flame or oil, so you never have to worry about a fire hazard or smoke. The lantern will continue to burn until you turn it off or until it runs out of power. That means you never have to worry about a stiff breeze ruining your gorgeously illuminated centerpieces!
LED Lanterns for Any Occasion
Our LED lantern collection is enormous and spans a wide range of décor styles. Want more color in your event? Try our fascinating colored glass globe outdoor lanterns. Prefer something more traditional? Check out the robust look of our school house lantern. Wedding sparklers are a popular find at events all over the world. They add atmosphere and give guests an interactive way to become part of the celebration. While they are generally safe to use, there are some risks that every bride and groom should know about so they can plan for a safe and successful wedding!
Safety Tip 1: Have a Place to Snuff the Sparklers
Guests will need a safe place to put out their sparklers and discard the smoldering sticks. Make sure you have tin buckets of sand or something similar available that can hold the sparklers without becoming a hazard. You can even decorate your sparkler discard buckets so they blend in with the décor!
Safety Tip 2: Have a Sparkler Person On Hand
The safest way to distribute your wedding sparklers is to have a person or persons assigned to the task. This way you can make sure they sparklers end up in the hands of adults and not young children. These individuals should also carry the lighters so they are not left sitting somewhere that a toddler or child can reach.
Safety Tip 3: Plan for Outdoor Sparkler Use
Sparklers should be used outside, not inside. This will prevent accidental fires and burns to other guests. Have a designated area reserved just for sparkler time. This should be near the venue (preferably a green space beside it if your event is being held indoors). If your event is being hosted outside, you should still have an open area away from the guest seats to play with sparklers.
Safety Tip 4: Know the Rules before You Light Up
Your venue or the local area may have rules related to the use of sparklers at events like weddings. Make sure you talk to the venue owner, manager or event planner to make sure you know what is and is not permitted. After all, you don’t want to wind up with a hefty fine on your wedding day!
Safety Tip 5: Inform Guests of Sparkler Guidelines
Make your guests aware of the sparklers, when you intend to use them and the rules and resources available during that time. Guests should know when and where to light the sparklers and what to do with the used up sticks after. Clear signs are a good way to convey this information. You can also have your DJ make an announcement just in case someone misses the signs.
