Between food allergies and special diets, you don’t want anyone to find themselves with little to nothing to munch on! We’re not suggesting you try to prepare an individual meal for each guest, but everyone should feel comfortable. Accenting Your Event Décor with Centerpiece Mirrors

Thursday, February 12th, 2015
Heart Shaped Mirror

A heart centerpiece mirror offers a unique shape for decor placement.

Centerpiece mirrors are a gorgeous way to accent your event décor. The key is choosing the right shape and size for your display. Whether you’re building the perfect wedding centerpiece or trying to draw attention to your accent décor, these simple event accessories are very eye-catching. Mirrors will add depth through reflection so your finished arrangement looks bigger, fuller and more detailed. How can you incorporate centerpiece mirrors in your event décor?

Match the Mirror Shape with Your Vase or Base

Centerpiece mirrors come in many shapes, although the most popular are round and square. When selecting the ideal shape, make sure you find something that is similar to the vase or base of your décor. This is especially important when building a centerpiece that will be the main focal point on your tables. If you use a block vase, then use a square mirror. If you are using something round like a cylinder or bud vase, then a round mirror is an ideal choice. If you are building something with smaller components rather than one big focal point, then you can experiment with other shapes. Try an octagon, heart, oval or placemat mirror. You can try placing objects off center to complement the wider and narrower parts and profile of the mirror.

Plain Mirrors vs. Detailed Mirrors

Patterned Round Mirror

A patterned mirror adds more detail to a display.

Some centerpiece mirrors include extra details like a scalloped edge or pattern. Others include a plain silver surface. So which is going to work best with your centerpiece or accent décor? A lot depends on the style of your décor. Plain mirrors as well as those with a beveled edge are ideal for arrangements that will show less of the mirror. On the other hand, if you are using a narrow vase or something that will show more surface area, then a detailed accessory like our round patterned mirror is a great choice.

Sizing Your Centerpiece Mirrors

You have many sizes to choose from when searching for centerpiece mirrors. Make sure the mirror is large enough to show around the edges of your vase or base. After all, you want some reflection to be visible. A large mirror works with a narrower vase that will include a full, cascading bouquet. If you are going for something simpler with a narrow vase and just a couple of roses or a slim branch, then a wider mirror might be too much. Balance visual appeal by using a mirror that grabs attention without distracting from your décor.

Introducing the Newest & Most Realistic Flameless Candles You Can Use at Your Next Event!

Motion Flame Pillars

Motion flame candles

Flameless candles have become a popular alternative to traditional wax candles. Wax luminaries are lovely, but they can be a fire hazard. Not to mention the smoke they produce and wax melt off which can pool around the candle and ruin tablecloths and décor. The biggest problem many people had with going flameless was the fact that some of the older versions didn’t quite capture the visual beauty of an actual glowing wick. Our motion flame timer candles have arrived and offer a functional wax alternative that looks amazing and moves!

Motion Flame Candles vs. Other Flameless Candles

Other flameless LED candle models use a flickering light effect to recreate the movement of real fire. While this can work in some settings, it is still very limited. The light typically dances within the bulb or faux flame attached to the top of the candle. It is still contained so it doesn’t actually appear to flicker like a real wax candle does. The shadows cast might look convincing, but a head on view will reveal that it’s just an imitation.

Our motion flame candles offer a solution to this problem by giving actual motion to the faux flame. A tapered light stands up over the center of the candle, surrounded by wavy rims that appear partially melted. When turned on, the “flame” visibly moves. It is not stuck within a bulb or cap but actually, physically moves so the light changes shape – just like a natural flame would!

What Can You Do with Motion Flame Candles?

Anything you can do with a wax candle you can do with our motion flame candles! In fact they are even more versatile thanks to their flameless design and convenient features. Add them to any candleholder or set them directly on furniture. Since there’s no melted wax or flame, you never have to worry about damage to wood, fabrics or other nearby surfaces. You can also place them close to objects you wouldn’t normally place a lit wax candle next to.

Our motion flame candles come in a variety of sizes with an amber LED and built-in timer that turns them on for five hours then off for 19. 3 AAA batteries provide power so you don’t have to have an electrical outlet free. They produce no smoke, only beautiful, natural looking candlelight. Try them at your next event and discover the many benefits of realistic flameless candles!
